ACBs and Tractors/Farm Equipment

  • When operating farm tractors and other agricultural equipment, dust and pollen pose unavoidable challenges. Whether plowing fields, harvesting crops, storing hay, or tending to animals in a barn, a cloud of dust or pollen often arises. While some activities generate more dust than others, controlling dust is a crucial aspect of farm equipment operations.
  • The Air Cleaning BlowerTM (ACB) was specifically engineered to address these challenges by effectively removing dust, pollen, and other particles from the air in dusty environments. By eliminating the need for constant maintenance associated with clogging filters, ACBs ensure uninterrupted operation. After efficiently removing various types of farm and grain processing dusts without filter elements or media, ACBs deliver clean air directly to the application.

  • Air-Cleaning BlowersTM (ACBs) operate by drawing dirty air into their housings, similar to conventional fans or blowers. Within their housings, a patented blower wheel utilizes centrifugal force in a unique manner to effectively separate dust and other particles from the air. Subsequently, ACBs expel the debris through a chute, directing it back to its origin, typically outdoors. Alternatively, they can redirect particles into the air column or a conveyor loading a silo. The result is clean air blowing out precisely where needed. Remarkably, ACBs achieve all this without requiring any filter elements or media, eliminating the need for replacement, labor, or other maintenance costs.
  • In contrast, other filters and air purifiers relying on filter elements, including self-cleaning devices, often experience rapid and costly clogging. This not only diminishes fan effectiveness but also increases energy consumption and necessitates frequent maintenance and repair. ACBs, however, avoid such issues due to their absence of filter media, ensuring consistent airflow, air pressure, and steady energy consumption for various applications, including ventilation, pressurization, or feeding air compressors. Additionally, ACBs can prolong the lifespan of evaporative (swamp) coolers by blowing clean air, thereby keeping their media cleaner for extended periods. Unlike cyclonic systems, ACBs do not rotate contaminants and are devoid of valves prone to clogging.

  • Another significant benefit for farmers is that ACBs can effectively remove rain, mist, and snow from the air. This not only helps maintain a dryer environment and reduces the load on air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, or dehumidifying equipment but also facilitates precise climate control inside the greenhouse. Additionally, because ACBs lack filter media to trap rain or snow, there’s no risk of components becoming wet or frozen, ensuring uninterrupted airflow.
  • Our ACBs underwent rigorous testing at an internationally recognized filter-testing laboratory to validate their effectiveness. The results demonstrate that they remove over 98% of the mass of dust and other particles from the air. Specifically, the laboratory findings indicate that ACBs eliminate virtually all particles larger than 10 microns and almost half of the particles down to 0.3 microns in size. This exceptional filtration capability ensures cleaner and healthier air in the greenhouse environment.
  • Originally developed to withstand harsh conditions in steel mills, mining operations, and fertilizer plants, the Air Cleaning BlowerTM is adaptable to any type of greenhouse operation. Our ACBs are so reliable that they are currently utilized by the US Military in the Middle East to ensure continuous cooling of air conditioners, even in the midst of sandstorms.
