ACBs IN TEMPORARY STRUCTURES

  • Setting up and dismantling temporary structures is routine in military camps, but it often leads to airborne dust and contaminants. Whether it’s opening a door for entry or a window for ventilation, dust is inevitable.
  • Controlling this dust is crucial in military environments, where even seemingly straightforward solutions like introducing clean air pose challenges, particularly in harsh conditions like deserts or jungles.

  • The Air Cleaning Blower™ (ACB) is tailored for removing dust, pollen, and particles in harsh environments without the hassle of filter maintenance. By harnessing the momentum of contaminants, ACBs separate them from the air, ensuring clean air is blown into tents, modular buildings, or temporary facilities. Unlike traditional methods, ACBs don’t require filter elements, making them efficient and low-maintenance solutions for military camps and dusty environments.
  • ACBs offer consistent airflow, air pressure, and power consumption, streamlining system performance prediction and design. Their rugged, lightweight, and self-contained design makes them easily transportable and mountable, often requiring only one person for installation.
  • Compatible with various power sources, including vehicle direct current, ACBs enhance comfort and health conditions, particularly in expeditionary settings.

COMMON APPLICATIONS

  • Removing dust and particles from the air to keep people and equipment clean

  • Keeping mist and humidity out of the air

  • Remove dust and particles form the air for military personnel to breathe more easily

  • Eliminating the need for replacement filters in-hard-to-supply locations

  • Reducing the size and weight of filtration systems

  • Incorporating them into ECUs (environmental control units)

  • Keeping flying insects out while ventilating, particularly in temporary structures where ECUs are not an option

  • Ventilating munitions-storage and other enclosures

PRESSURIZATION

  • Furthermore, ACBs can pressurize spaces to prevent dust and sand ingress, safeguarding electronics like computers. Their non-debris-collecting design avoids hazardous hot spots in filter media if CBRNE particles are present. Moreover, all ACBs can be modified for use with various explosive or flammable gases or dust, meeting Division/Zone 1 or Division/Zone 2 requirements.

LABORATORY TESTING

  • Our ACBs underwent independent testing at a globally recognized filter-testing laboratory to verify their efficacy. Standard models remove over 98% of dust and particles from the air, with virtually all particles larger than 10 microns eliminated and approximately 40% of particles down to 3 microns removed.
  • Future models will target sub-micron contaminants, aiding in mosquito prevention in jungle tents while providing cool air. Originally designed for harsh industrial environments like steel, mining, and fertilizer plants, the Air Cleaning Blower™ is versatile and effective in various structures worldwide. They are currently utilized by the US Military in the Middle East, ensuring air conditioner functionality even during sandstorms.
