GREEN AIR FILTERS FOR LIBRARIES/MUSEUMS

In libraries and museums, control of dust, stray particles and germs is always something to be aware of, especially if they hold antique items that need preservation. With the heightened concern regarding germs after this pandemic these are sure to be places of concern for years to come. Air Cleaning Blowers, LLC produces the Air Cleaning BlowerTM and the Protective Canopy that could both be helpful in this situation. Controlling germs, ventilating spaces, reducing maintenance and cleaning the air both of these products can make a library or museum setting significantly cleaner and safer spaces. These products will also help make these spaces more sustainable as the Air Cleaning Blower™ is considered a green air filter.

By installing a Protective Canopy, with the sustainable air filter ACB, from the ceiling above your desired location, you can provide an effective layer of protection around books, artifacts, customer or employees.  The Protective Canopy works by pulling the dirty germ-filled air into its housing to filter it.  There it has a pre-filter at the point of entry that extracts larger dust particles that are in the air.  The air then flows through a HEPA filter element to clean out the germs and other tiny contaminants.  After passing through the HEPA filter, the air then blows out of the bottom of the Protective  to create a cone of clean air around the desired location. The Air Cleaning BlowerTM (ACB) is another helpful option for libraries and museums as well. The ACB was developed specifically to remove dust, pollen and other particles from the air in dusty environments while eliminating the need for constant maintenance due to clogging filters. After removing most kinds of dusts and particles in the air, without using any filter elements or media, the ACBs blows out clean air to your application. Because the ACB has no filter media inside of it, we can call it a truly sustainable air filter.

The Air Cleaning BlowerTM works by pulling dirty air into its housing like any other fan would. The blower wheel inside its housing then spins the air around in a novel, multi-patented way, using centrifugal force to separate the dusts and other particles from the air. The ACB then ejects the debris and blows it through a shoot and back into the place where it came from. The clean air then blows out the other side where you need it. The Air-Cleaning BlowerTM accomplishes all this without any type of filter elements or media that need replacement or other maintenance.

Other filters and air purifiers that use filter elements often clog quickly and expensively. This clogging decreases the effectiveness of the fan, increases the amount of energy consumption and requires constant maintenance and repair. In contrast, because the ACB has no filter media to clog, replace or maintain, you can be sure you generate constant air flow, air pressure and steady energy consumption for ventilating, pressurizing or feeding air compressors and other equipment.

Another key feature is that can be especially helpful for libraries and museums is that the ACBs can remove rain, mist and snow from the air, helping the air stay dryer and reducing the load on any air conditioning, refrigeration or dehumidifying equipment. In addition, because there is no filter media catching that rain or snow there is nothing that will become wet or freeze up and prevent the air from passing through. Protecting books, magazines and artifacts from humidity is crucial as well.

Our ACBs were tested independently at a nationally-recognized filter-testing laboratory to prove their effectiveness. The testing found that they remove up to 98%+ of the mass of dust and other particles in the air. The laboratory results show that they remove virtually all particles larger than 10 microns and almost half of the particles down to 0.3 microns in the air. The smallest particles most people can see are about 50 microns. This level of effectiveness assures that in most cases it would take months for enough dust to accumulate to create an insulating blanket that could overheat a motor or an electric box.

Originally developed to work in harsh environments such as steel, mining and fertilizer plants, the Air Cleaning BlowerTM can help no matter what kind museum or library that you operate. Our ACBs are so effective that they are being used today by the US Military in the Middle East to keep air conditioners cooling, even in sandstorms.
